Special effects for your photos!

>> Wednesday, March 3

There's always something fun to discover online. Today, I tried out a site that can transform plain photos into funny, effects-packed images that are so amusing, I guarantee you'd share the info with your friends once you're done reading this bit. The service is called Picjoke.

The first thing I noticed was that the site had no "About Picjoke" information. I may be wrong but this is probably because the site's only purpose is to add effects to its users' chosen pictures. The welcoming page features a host of images that show a lady's portrait done in different cool effects.

Once you decide on your image, it takes less than one minute to enjoy what I am quick to call the fruits of creative labor. When there, simply choose the effect that appeals to you, then upload an image onto your chosen effect, and you're done! Your special effects photo becomes available for viewing (and saving!) in less than 60 short seconds.

Another great thing about it is they come up with new photo effects every day. I thought I'd spend just around fifteen minutes checking the site out but it's been well over an hour and I'm still uploading my friends' photos on funny effects. This hot and humid day's master plan is to email blast the buddies with a surprise dose of happy. Now, having fun with my photos has turned so effortless and entertaining. Glad I got the chance to try the service out :-)
Here are what I've come up with: (model: facaderato's muse #1)

funny photo editing online can be so much fun! It doesn't hurt that it's fast too :)

Picjoke's picture effects include faces of top Hollywood celebrities, adding "umph" to otherwise "blah" portraits :)

Have fun with photos any which way you want...looks like Angelina and Johnny wouldn't mind.

Fred Perry announces their new blank canvas partner for S/S 2010, legendary US streetwear label Stussy. The collection is a perfect hybrid of two of the most important and original streetwear brands in apparel history.

The historical link between the two brands goes back decades. The Fred Perry shirt was an important part of the US West Coast surf/punk/ska scene's uniform in the late 70's -- some of the same community that influenced Shawn Stussy's grassroots brand in the 1980's and later the developmental of the global Stussy Tribe.

The classic range comprises six styles. Key pieces include the classic slim-fit Fred Perry shirt styled in classic Stussy plaid, a reworked tennis bomber, a heritage slim-fit, buttoned-down collared shirt and a leather and plaid varsity jacket with tipped collar and cuffs.

The palette is simple, clean and muted blending grey, black, white and dusk blue. All garments are branded with both the Fred Perry laurel and the Stussy Deluxe tag.

Health Valley Cranberry Crunch

Here's one of my current favorite breakfast staples -- Health Valley Organic Cranberry Crunch (Crunches and Flakes) Cereals. Thought it deserved a mention here since I noticed I could down a 14 oz box in just 3-4 days. Yep, been having it for lunch, even (call it love at first bite). It's a box of goodness packed with super crispy oats, corn flakes, oat bran, brown rice, and oat syrup solids, flavored with concentrated fruit juices, honey, and sea salt. All organic.
There you have it, my daily fix of whole grain fiber and essential vitamins, in every 190 calorie cup of crisp and crunch. I take my cereals with Silk Soy Milk. I enjoy it so, It's gotta be love ;p

Louis Vuitton

recognizing genius.

Louis Vuitton (1821 – February 27, 1892), eponymous founder of the world-renowned brand, was born in Jura, France (now part of the commune of Lavans-sur-Valouse).

In 1835, he moved to Paris. The trip from his hometown to Paris was over 400 kilometers (249 mi), and he traveled the distance by foot. On his way there, he picked up a series of odd jobs to pay for his journey. There, he became an apprentice Layetier to prominent households. Because of his well established reputation in his fields,Napoleon III of France appointed Vuitton as Layetier to his wife, Empress Eugenie de Montijo.

Through his experience with French royalty, he developed expert knowledge of what made a good travelling case. It was then that he began to design his own luggage, setting the foundations for LV Co. (Wikipedia)
