The Real Cost of Christmas

The most frequent complaint you hear from people around Christmas time is that it had become increasingly too costly. But these costs we associate with the season are nowhere near the real cost of Christ's coming into this world.

The Real Cost Of Christmas


To the main characters of the Christmas story...

• First, understand how much it cost a young engaged couple, who had very little in the world by way of material riches, but who were required to give so much in order for the first Christmas to happen.


• Second, look at how much the first Christmas cost hundreds of young parents in Judea during the time of Christ's birth.


• Third, attempt to count the cost of the first Christmas from the perspective of our heavenly Father himself -- it cost him his one and only Son.


• Finally, look at the cost of the first Christmas through the eyes of the Savior himself.

Seeing how much we have been given with the coming of the Lord into this world - a certain hope, complete forgiveness and comprehensive salvation - the high cost that was paid for Christmas is truly worth it.

Respond, therefore, in faith, joy, peace and goodwill! The Christ of Christmas loves you! :)
